How it works
Futurize is a crowd-funding platform like no other, but it’s also an eco-community platform like no other.
We offer a safe space for new eco projects to form, and for a community to build around it to guide and support the project.
Crowd funding an eco-project needs dollars, but it also needs a village.
Are you ready to collaborate and share your wisdom?
How you can get involved, and maximise your impact
💡 Your ideas.
Each of us has a unique set of perspectives and knowledge. There’s a good chance you might see something that the project team simply misses. By providing your feedback to directly support the project.
🔧 Your skills.
Maybe you are a pro with solar power. Maybe you’re a dab hand at marketing. Perhaps you have engineering expertise to offer, an amazing contact or two, or the ability to lend a hand on the ground. Whatever your skillset, the Futurize Discord community offers you a chance to connect directly with the project team and see how you can help.
🪙 Your money.
A big part of Futurize is our eco crowdfunding community. We put our money where our mouth is, and we know 100% of it is going to a worthy project. Donate to your favourite projects and see your impact compound in groundbreaking ways.
How you can join in the conversation - Discord
Each project has a discussion channel in the increasingly popular communication app, Discord.
You’ll find a link to the discussion channel on the individual Project page of the site
When you join us on Discord, you’ll first be asked to create a profile if you haven’t already got one
From there, you’ll receive a quick rundown on how it all works, and you’ll quickly see how the conversation is taking place within the project channel
Three critical parts of the project need your help
1. The Pre-Launch phase
In the 3 weeks leading up to a Project Campaign’s go-live, this is the chance to really help the project get things right:
a. Ensure the project is marketed well, they know the right people to market to, and enough information is present to encourage people to donate
b. Ensure they have clear funding goals and targets – are they SMART goals? Do they enable quick wins and much-needed financial support at critical milestones in the project? Through discussion you are invited to help the project team get this right.
c. You can also suggest the Project Owner to offer rewards to donators, here your imagination is key.
2. Campaign phase
During the campaign, you can be at the origin of the snowball effect.
You know people who care about the environment and so do they.
Share the project you care about with your keen and invite them to visit the campaign page.
Remember there are many ways people can support the project :
a. Make a donation, 100% of the money goes to the project, this is unique!
b. Acquire governance rights to ensure the project is a success
c. Collect rewards offered by the Project Owners
d. Purchase unique Artwork offered by committed artists
3. Veto power before funds are released
Before any funds are released, project Governors must be satisfied the project will achieve its milestone and has been transparent.
This veto power is afforded to those who have paid for the privilege of this at time of donation. When a project milestone is coming up, you’ll be invited to review its progress and join in the collective discussion.
Each of these steps will help to ensure the project enjoys a successful crowd-funding campaign.
